Just a little update...

School is out for the kids here in Bibb County. So it is now time for me to play catch up. I have SO much paperwork to get done. I won't be done with work until at least the 4th. Lane and I went swimming yesterday afternoon. The water felt great. It is finally feeling like summer. Lane found some interesting things in the clothes basket last night. See pic below.
Recently he has started telling Adaline she is going to be in big trouble and he is going to give her a spanking.

Lane does really well with putting his toys away, putting his clothes in the laundry room, and going to bed when my cell phone timer goes off (good trick). He is starting to try new food like spaghetti and sloppy joes. He really loves milk and cereal now too. Especially frosted mini wheats. He will move up to his next and LAST class at daycare next week. I can not believe at this time next year he will be getting ready for pre-k in the fall.

Adaline has been taking a nap everyday after school. She loves her baths and eating with her hands. She still doesn't have any teeth. She is getting into cabinets and she puts everything in her mouth. I have to get her first bday party invites in the mail ASAP. Can't believe she is almost one. She is walking behind a push toy too.

This past weekend Lane sang at the church where his daycare is housed. He didn't sing. I guess he didn't want to out do the other kids. He stood up there and played with his shirt. The kids were hilarious. One little boy sand so loud an then bowed after each song and said thank you boys and girls! Too funny!

Meet Lane's new friend. Chris found him in the garden last night. He never came out of his shell. I think he may be deceased. I guess we will see this afternoon. Hopefully he won't be in the same spot.

11 months!

Happy 11 months to our sweet Adaline! I can't not believe you are almost one! Words can not express how much we love you! You already know how to bat your eyelashes! Every time I tell you "no no" you smile so big and bat those lashes. Your brother loves you SO much. He loves getting in your crib with you and playing. He loves watching you do new things. You are starting to walk behind a push toy. You love your baths and being tickled. You are crawling faster and faster and you can get into and under anything. You weigh 20 lbs and you love to sleep. You will sleep until 9:00 sometimes. You can say "bye bye" and "mama". You love to clap and wave. We love you SO much sweet girl!

Monday not so funday...

Well even though the kiddos were sick again this weekend we managed to have a nice weekend. I went to get my hair done of Friday so I enjoyed a little quiet time. We went to Rylan's 3rd birthday party on Saturday. It is always fun to get together with Elizabeth and Josh's family. The kids then both started running fevers. Too much fun I guess. After we grilled out with MoMo and PaPa I took Adaline and lane to after hours. Lane still has strep throat and Adaline still has an ear infection. They gave him antibiotic and gave her a shot. We saw Dr. Sims this morning to follow-up. She gave Adaline an antibiotic. We can't seem to get these kids well. Sunday we went to Sassy and PopPop's and Lane played on the farm all day. We also got to see Granny Carol and Aunt Barbara (who lane referred to as Grandma! Ha!). Lane was really tired yesterday from playing so hard so Chris is home with them today. Several meetings this week and only 7 more days with kids! Wahoo! Have a great Monday!

Mary Helen, our sweet sitter, took some pics last Sunday for us to give as Mother Day gifts. They turned out great!

Thank goodness the week is coming to an end! It has been a busy week at work. Lots of meetings and more meetings and even more paperwork. Ugh! Only 7 more days for the kids. Ready for a break. Not much went on at home this week except Adaline is on the move. That little girl is into everything! I am getting my hair done tonight, bday party tomorrow for sweet Rylan and to Eatonton on Sunday. Happy Mother's Day to all!

Oh and Charlie got a haircut yesterday. Or should I say shaved. Poor thing looks so bad I won't embarrass him by posting a pic. They even trimmed his face. :(

Weekend Recap

Didn't leave the house on Saturday until about 5. I had to take Lane to Target to pick out a toy. We promised him a toy if he could take his antibiotic like a big boy. He did soooo great! We used to have to hold him down kicking and screaming and squeeze it in his mouth. He even asked to take his medicine. He picked out an excavator that picks up play dough. He loves it.

Adaline has been on the move all weekend. She climbed up a few of the stairs and is climbing on everything. She even ate 3rd food baby food with gaging.

Rainy day...

Just enjoying this rainy, breezy day in my pjs with the kiddos. I have so much to around the house as well as paperwork for work but I just can't get motivated. The kids have been sick and have finally started feeling better. Lane had strep throat and Adaline's ears have been infected since Easter. Finally clearing up,I hope. Chris and I had a date night last night. Thanks Mary Helen! She is the best. I am posting a pic of the text she sent me. I couldn't help but laugh out loud. Also Adaline has been eating more table foods like grits and bananas, without gagging and throwing up. She also climbed up the stairs this morning. Baby gate is coming out today. She has already learned how to bat her eyelashes and when I tell her no she sticks her tongue out and smiles. Rotten! Happy weekend! Also check out the super cute frames my mom made me. She is so talented!
